Bihar MLC Elections: All 10 MLC candidates in Bihar including Nishant Kumar, Pawan Singh were elected unopposed.
New Delhi. Without voting on the 10 Legislative Council seats in Bihar, all the 10 candidates including former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar and Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh were elected unopposed. After the deadline for withdrawal of nominations ended today, the victory of all 10 candidates was confirmed. NDA has won 9 seats while one seat has gone to RJD. BJP had fielded four candidates and JDU had fielded four candidates. Chirag Paswan’s party LJP (Ram Vilas) had also declared one of its candidates and Lalu Yadav’s party RJD also had one candidate.

These 10 candidates were elected unopposed-
– Pawan Singh (BJP)
– Sanjay Mayukh (BJP)
– Sheela Pandit (BJP)
– Anil Thakur (BJP)
– Nishant Kumar (JDU)
– Lalan Prasad (JDU)
– Bharti Mehta (JDU)
– Shivani Devi (JDU)
– Ashraf Ansari LJP (Ram Vilas)
– Sunil Singh (RJD)
Actually, Lalan Singh has been elected from the vacant seat after the resignation of Nitish Kumar, hence his tenure will be till 2030, while the tenure of the other 9 members will be till 2032. Bihar Health Minister Nishant Kumar, on being elected as a member of the Legislative Council, said, I thank all the leaders for trusting me. I will try to live up to that belief. We will continue the development work under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. Will never compromise with crime and corruption.
