Jharkhand Rajya Sabha Election: NDA supported candidate Parimal Nathwani wins in Jharkhand Rajya Sabha elections, shock to Congress

New Delhi. In the elections held for two Rajya Sabha seats in Jharkhand, NDA supported independent candidate Parimal Nathwani has won one seat. Parimal Nathwani winning the election is a big blow for Congress due to its low strength in the assembly. Due to cross voting in the election, Parimal Nathwani has defeated Pranab Jha of Congress. There is talk of cross voting by four opposition MLAs in favor of Parimal. On the other hand, ruling JMM Vaidyanath Ram has won the second seat. Although their victory was already considered certain.

After winning the election, Parimal Nathwani wrote on Twitter, “I am extremely grateful to have got the opportunity to serve for the fourth term as a Rajya Sabha member. This moment is very emotional for me because this will be my third term from Jharkhand. This is the land from where my parliamentary journey began in 2008. It is a matter of great pride and humility for me to return once again to my workplace. I express my wholehearted gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Nabin and the NDA for their support. Heartfelt thanks also to all those members of Jharkhand Assembly who voted and supported during this entire journey. With new determination and sincerity, every possible effort will continue to advance the interests and aspirations of Jharkhand and its people. Johar Jharkhand.

BJP MLA Pradeep Prasad said on the victory of Parimal Nathwani, Jai Shri Ram, the work is done. He told that NDA got 28 votes, JMM got 30 and Congress got 19 votes, 3 votes were cancelled. Parimal Nathwani got 28 votes. The MLAs listened to their conscience and this had to happen. Let us tell you that in Jharkhand, the ruling JMM and Congress, an ally of the India alliance, have a total of 56 members in the state assembly, despite this the Congress could not make its candidate win.
