Monsoon Rain Alert: Meteorological Department has issued rain alert in these 18 states, know how the situation will be in Delhi?

New Delhi. Monsoon is active in large parts of the country. Due to active monsoon, the Meteorological Department is issuing updates about rain several times every day. The Meteorological Department has once again issued an alert of heavy to very heavy rain in many states. The Meteorological Department has said that there may be light rain in Delhi. There is a possibility of heavy rain in UP till July 15. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in 18 states. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of rain in Mumbai right now.

The Meteorological Department has said that heavy rain is expected in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh till Sunday. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh till July 16 and in Uttarakhand till July 15. According to the Meteorological Department, an alert of heavy rain has been issued in the eastern areas of Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan till July 16. At the same time, the process of rain is going to continue in the states of South India, East and North-East India. The situation has become quite difficult due to heavy rains in many states in the past few days. However, rainfall is still below average in many states.

The Meteorological Department had earlier predicted that there would be below average rainfall this year. This is due to the effect of El Nino. Due to El Nino, the south-west monsoon reached Kerala with a delay of a few days in June. After which it gained some momentum, but then stopped. Recently, due to change in conditions, western disturbance and formation of cyclonic line from the Bay of Bengal, rains gained momentum. As a result, heavy rains were seen in South India, Maharashtra, Gujarat and other states. Monsoon season is considered to be till September. In such a situation, it cannot be said yet that there will be good rains this year. Because if the El Nino effect intensifies further, then there may be obstacles in the way of more monsoon clouds reaching the country.
