107th birth anniversary of Pahad Ke Lal Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna, CM Dhami paid emotional farewell by garlanding the statue.

The 107th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and veteran leader of Indian politics, late Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna, was celebrated with great pride in Dehradun on Saturday. On this special occasion, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the MDDA complex located near Ghantaghar. There he garlanded the statue of late Bahuguna and paid emotional tribute to him. Along with the Chief Minister, many other big leaders of the state also witnessed this glorious moment.

Inspirational journey from freedom struggle to public service

Recalling the personality of Bahuguna ji and the great work done by him, Chief Minister Dhami said that he was an extraordinary leader. He not only played an active role in the Indian freedom struggle, but also gave a new direction to the country and society with his visionary thinking. The CM stressed that Bahuguna ji was not just a skilled politician, but his dedication towards public service is an example for all of us even today. Every chapter of his life was dedicated to providing justice to the oppressed sections of the society.

Played a decisive role in the development of hilly areas

Recalling the contribution of Bahuguna ji, CM Dhami said that the work he did especially for the development of hilly areas can never be forgotten. As a result of the effective initiatives he took to solve the problems of the hilly areas, today the pace of development in these areas has accelerated. CM said that Bahuguna ji’s entire life was a symbol of social harmony and inclusive development. His ideals even today guide us to work selflessly in the public interest.

Veteran leaders also paid tribute

Many big personalities from the political circle were present during the tribute program. Former Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna, Cabinet Ministers Subodh Uniyal, Saurabh Bahuguna as well as MLAs Khajan Das and Durgeshwar Lal also registered their presence. All the public representatives pledged to follow the footsteps of late Bahuguna. In the end, the Chief Minister said that the contribution of Bahuguna ji will always be recorded in golden letters in the pages of history and the coming generations will continue to take inspiration from his struggle.
