Officials said that these Naxalites surrendered before the police after being influenced by the new surrender and rehabilitation policy of the Chhattisgarh government. These also include six women, who were associated with the Naxal organization for a long time in different positions. During the surrender, he also handed over a large quantity of weapons to the police. The weapons seized included three AK-47 rifles, three INSAS rifles, two .303 rifles, one SLR and one carbine.

According to the police, all of them were active in different areas for a long time and were being searched in many incidents.
What did Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai say?
On this big surrender, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that this incident is a symbol of the weakening influence of Naxalism. He said that in the last two years, more than 4,000 Naxalites have left the organization and returned to the mainstream. According to the Chief Minister, the aim of the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah is to completely end Naxalism by March 2026.
He further said that due to Naxalism, the development of Bastar and surrounding areas was hampered for decades. But now the situation is changing. Work is being done rapidly in areas like roads, electricity, communication, education, health and employment. Those who are returning to the mainstream of society by taking advantage of the Naxalite rehabilitation policy, are now making a new beginning of a safe and respectable life.
Describing this as a glimpse of “changing Chhattisgarh”, Chief Minister Sai said that the state is now moving forward not with violence, but with dialogue and democratic values.
