PM Modi gifted a copy of Srimad Bhagavad Gita written in Russian language to Putin!
7 Lok Kalyan Marg was decorated with flags of India and Russia in view of President Putin’s visit. Along with this, the PM’s residence was decorated with special lighting. PM Modi invited Vladimir Putin for dinner at night.
The Prime Minister welcomed the Russian President by taking him inside his official residence. Regarding this, PM Modi wrote a post on the social media platform ‘X’ and said that he has presented Shrimad Bhagavad Gita to President Putin.
PM Modi wrote on Twitter that he presented a copy of Srimad Bhagavad Gita in Russian language to President Putin. The teachings of Geeta inspire millions of people around the world. In the photo shared by PM Modi, President Putin is looking at the copy of Srimad Bhagavad Gita very carefully.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had posted on ‘X’ and said that he is happy to welcome his friend, President Putin to India. India-Russia friendship is old, which has benefited our people a lot.
The two leaders hugged and greeted each other before leaving the airport together in the same vehicle. He also briefly watched and appreciated a cultural program as part of the welcome ceremony.
The 23rd India-Russia annual summit to be held on Friday is taking place at a time when tariffs have been imposed by the US as a penalty. This summit will also focus on discussing trade and energy partnerships as well as strengthening defense cooperation.
The Russian President will be formally welcomed at Rashtrapati Bhavan before the formal talks to be held at Hyderabad House on Friday. Putin will also offer flowers at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial.
