Vande Mataram 150 Years Modi Speech Parliament

During the winter session of Parliament, a discussion is going on on the completion of 150 years of India’s national song ‘Vande Mataram’. During this, PM Modi started the discussion by remembering the glorious journey of Vande Mataram. He told that Vande Mataram was sung against the British conspiracy. The British were conspiring to take their national song to every home. At such a time Bakim da challenged and answered the brick with stone.

Speaking in the Lok Sabha, PM Modi said, “Vande Mataram brought independence to the country in 1947. The chanting of Vande Mataram had the emotional leadership of the freedom struggle. When this is being discussed, there is no party or opposition here. All of us who are sitting here, is actually an opportunity for us to accept the battle. It is because of Vande Mataram that the freedom movement started, it is the result of that that we are sitting here today. That’s why For all of us MPs and parties, this is a sacred festival of accepting the battle.”

He said, “The spirit of Vande Mataram which fought for the freedom of the country, the whole country moved forward by chanting Vande Mataram in one voice. Taking inspiration from this, there is an opportunity to move forward once again. Take the country along, let Vande Mataram become the inspiration and energy for us to fulfill the dreams that the lovers of freedom had seen. Let us become developed in 2047. Vande Mataram is a big opportunity for us to repeat this resolve.” Is.”

Describing the history of the national song, PM Modi said, “This journey of Vande Mataram was started by Bakimchandra ji in 1875. The song was written at a time when after the freedom struggle of 1857, the British Sultanate was in panic and was committing many types of atrocities. The British were forcing the people of India. The British were conspiring to take their national song to every home. At such a time Bakim Da challenged and answered the brick with stone. This is how Vande Mataram was born.”

He said, “A few years later, in 1882, when he wrote ‘Anand Math’, this song was included in it. Vande Mataram had revived the idea which had been ingrained in the veins of India for thousands of years. He had given the same feeling, values, culture and tradition to all of us with Vande Mataram in very simple words and with great emotion. Vande Mataram was only about the fight for political freedom. It wasn’t a mantra. It was more than that.”
