Taxi driver Bilal murdered his live-in partner Uma; The body was thrown into the forest.
A heart-wrenching murder case has come to light from Uttar Pradesh, where a taxi driver allegedly murdered his live-in partner by slitting her throat, beheaded her and dumped the body in the forest. After returning home, the accused started preparing for his marriage with another woman. This heinous crime forced Uttar Pradesh and Haryana police to conduct a joint investigation.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Uma. The accused taxi driver Bilal has been arrested. Uma’s decapitated body was found in the forest area near Kaleshwar National Park in Haryana, after which an inter-state investigation was started in view of the seriousness of the case. The police revealed the murder on Sunday (December 14).
According to the investigating officers, on the evening of 6th December, Bilal took Uma from Saharanpur in his Swift car. Both of them kept wandering here and there for about six hours. After this he took him to a secluded place in Lal Dhang Khad near Kaleshwar forest area. It was here that the accused allegedly murdered Uma and beheaded her. After the murder he fled from the spot.
Police say that after committing the crime, Bilal returned straight to his home in Saharanpur and started shopping for his upcoming wedding while behaving normally, so that no one would suspect him. Later, during interrogation after his arrest, the accused led the police to the place where he recovered Uma’s severed head, which he had kept hidden. At present, efforts are going on to recover the weapon used in the murder and the formalities of forensic investigation are being completed.
Police investigation has revealed that Uma was in a live-in relationship with Bilal for the last two years. She was the mother of a 13-year-old son and was living alone in Saharanpur following personal family disputes. It was told that Bilal used to bear her expenses, but her family was not aware of this relationship. According to investigators, Bilal wanted to marry another woman and hence he conspired to eliminate Uma from his path.
Family members told that Uma’s life had been full of turmoil for a long time. About 15 years ago, she left home a day before the marriage, later they got married but separated after years. She was divorced about a year and a half ago and did not take custody of her son, who currently lives with his father.
Uma’s brother said that the family came to know about the murder when the police contacted them. On receiving information about the dead body, they reached Yamunanagar, where it later became clear that Uma had been brutally murdered and her head was cut off. The police have taken accused Bilal into custody and have started further investigation and all aspects related to the case are being thoroughly investigated.
