Al Falah University PMLA Case Judicial Custody

Saket Court has extended the judicial custody of Al Falah University Vice Chancellor Javed Ahmed Siddiqui till December 20 in the money laundering (PMLA) case related to the Delhi blasts case. Keeping in mind the seriousness of the case and the status of investigation, the court has given this order. Javed Ahmed Siddiqui is currently in judicial custody and enforcement agencies are investigating his financial transactions.

In the hearing in Saket court, the investigating agency demanded extension of custody, which was accepted by the court. The court made it clear that the investigation has not been completed yet and considering the nature of the allegations, there is a need to increase judicial custody. Earlier on December 12, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had presented four accused in this case in the Patiala House Court. These included Dr. Muzammil, Dr. Shaheen Saeed, Mufti Irfan Ahmed and Adil Ahmed. He was produced in the court after the completion of his previous custody period. After the hearing, the court gave 12 days judicial custody to the four accused.

NIA told the court that there was a big conspiracy of accused Dr. Muzammil, Dr. Umar Nabi, Adil Ahmed, Dr. Shaheen Saeed, Mufti Irfan and Irfan Ahmed. According to the agency, the purpose of this module was to create large-scale unrest in the capital Delhi and target sensitive areas. Investigation also revealed that Dr. Umar Nabi was the main accused in the car bomb blast. After completion of NIA custody, the four main accused were presented in the court. The agency sought extension of judicial custody on the basis of prima facie evidence collected against him, which was accepted by the court.

It is noteworthy that on November 10, a huge blast near Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi had spread panic in the entire country. At around 6:52 pm, there was a massive blast in a white Hyundai i20 car parked at a high traffic signal. 12 people were killed and many were injured in this attack. The investigating agencies are thoroughly investigating every aspect related to this conspiracy.
