Haseen Mastan Mirza Abuse Child Marriage
Haseen Mastan Mirza, daughter of Mumbai’s infamous underworld don Haji Mastan, has sought help from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for her story of painful atrocities. Hasin alleges that in 1996, when she was a minor, she was forcibly married to her maternal uncle’s son and after that she was repeatedly raped. He has also claimed that the same person misused his identity to take over his property.
According to Haseen Mastan Mirza, the person to whom she was forcibly married had already married her eight times. She said that pressure was put on her to marry at a young age, which caused her deep mental trauma. Hasin claims that due to this shock, she even tried to commit suicide thrice.
Speaking to ANI, Haseen Mastan Mirza said, “I have appealed to Amit Shah and Modi ji that so many incidents are happening, rape, murder, something or the other is happening every day. Like what happened to me, rape, attempt to murder, child marriage, my property was taken away and my identity was hidden. So I believe that if the law is strict, people will be afraid of committing crimes.”
The appeal comes after a video of his was posted on Instagram last week, in which he shared the pain of not getting justice over the years. In the video he once again sought intervention from Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Haseen Mastan Mirza also praised the triple talaq law and said that this religious provision in Islam was being misused. She said, “Triple Talaq law is very good. It was a good law made by Prime Minister Modi, I was present there at that time. Triple Talaq was being misused in Islam, the way Modi ji passed the bill, and women’s blessings are on him that he freed them from such law.” He also stressed the need for more strict laws for speedy justice in such cases.

Reiterating her allegations, Hasin said, “I want to punish the person who committed so many crimes, raped a girl, left her to die.” She also alleged that the police had also questioned her as to what she was doing at that time. Hasin said that despite being a minor, she did not receive any protection or support.
Notorious don Haji Mastan died of a heart attack on 25 June 1994. Haseen Mastan Mirza has appealed to people not to drag her father’s name into the matter as the alleged incidents took place two years after his death. She said, “First of all, I want to say that when I see my father being called like this, I feel very bad… but I am a daughter after all.” This case once again raises questions on serious issues like child marriage, sexual violence and property disputes. At present, everyone’s eyes are fixed on what further legal action will be taken after Haseen Mastan Mirza’s appeal.
