LG attacks air pollution, holds Kejriwal responsible for Delhi disaster!

Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has written a letter to former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on the issue of air pollution in Delhi. The Lieutenant Governor said that Arvind Kejriwal’s politics is based only on negativity and factless propaganda.

Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena put forth 56 points in a letter written to Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday. In this he termed Kejriwal’s great indifference towards the issue of pollution. The Lieutenant Governor revealed his conversation with Arvind Kejriwal.

He wrote in the letter, “I would like to draw attention to the discussion between me and you (Arvind Kejriwal) in November-December 2022.

Amidst severe air pollution, I had written a letter to the Chief Ministers of Haryana and Punjab. A copy of the letter written to the Chief Minister of Punjab was also sent to you. When I asked you to take decisive steps to resolve this issue considering the seriousness of it, you told me, ‘Sir, this happens every year, the media raises it for 15-20 days.
Activists and courts make an issue of it and then forget about it. Don’t pay too much attention to this. Now what could be more double standard than this?”

In the letter, the Lieutenant Governor wrote, “It was the inaction of your government for almost 11 years, due to which Delhi is going through this terrible disaster today. You could have easily and at a very low cost, at least got the dusty roads of Delhi repaired. Had you covered the footpaths and curbs, Delhi would have got rid of the pollution caused by dust, but you did not do this deliberately.”

VK Saxena said that if the Kejriwal government had worked in coordination instead of confrontation with the neighboring states and the Government of India, Delhi would not have been going through this disaster of air pollution today. It is regretful that you did not do anything for Delhi.

The Lieutenant Governor wrote, “You (Kejriwal) and your colleagues have been continuously abusing me, because I work in the interest of the people of Delhi. If your inaction has come to the fore in front of the people because of my work, then it is not my fault. If someone starts abusing in return for working, then you yourself consider what people who do not work deserve.”
