The Same Unity As In 1971 Is Needed For Bangladesh’s Independence And Sovereignty Tariq Rahman

According to information shared by The Daily Star, Tariq Rahman appealed to the people in Bangladesh to maintain peace. “We want peace in every possible way. If we remain united, we can fulfill the expectations of the people,” he said while addressing party leaders, supporters and the nation at 300 Feet Road in Dhaka in the afternoon.

Tariq Rahman said that just as the people of the country achieved independence in 1971, similarly people from all walks of life will once again unite to protect the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh. He said, “Today, the people of Bangladesh want to get back their right to express themselves. They want to get back their right to democracy. Now the time has come for everyone to build the country together.”

He said, “In this country there are people from hills and plains, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and Christians. We want to build a safe Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, whether a woman, a man or a child, everyone should be able to leave home safely and come back safely. People of all religions should work together to build a safe Bangladesh.”

Referring to Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic “I have a dream” speech, the BNP acting chairperson said, “I have a plan.” He said that he has plans to build the country and to implement those plans, cooperation of every citizen is necessary.

Appealing to the people, Tariq Rahman said, “I have a dream. Today standing on the soil of Bangladesh, in front of you all, I want to say this: I have a plan for the people of my country and for my country. Today, this plan is for the welfare of the people, for the development of the country, to change the destiny of the people of this country.”

He said, “If that plan, that way of working, that vision is to be implemented, then dear brothers and sisters, from this group of people present here today, and from all those people across Bangladesh who demonstrate the power of democracy, I will need the cooperation of every single person.”
