Prime Minister Modi To Chair The Chief Secretaries Conference In Delhi On December 27 28

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the fifth National Conference of Chief Secretaries to be held in Delhi on December 27 and 28. This conference is another important achievement towards strengthening the Centre-State partnership based on national development priorities and through sustained dialogue.

The Prime Minister’s Office said that based on PM Narendra Modi’s vision of cooperative federalism, the conference serves as a platform where the Center and states collaborate to formulate an integrated format to maximize India’s human capital potential and accelerate inclusive future-ready growth.

In this three-day conference to be held from 26 to 28 December, in-depth discussions will be held with the aim of finalizing a common development agenda.

This conference will form the basis for collaborative action to position India’s citizens as human capital rather than viewing its population merely as a demographic dividend.

For this, concrete strategies will be developed to strengthen education systems, advance skill development initiatives and create future employment opportunities across the country.

The main theme of the fifth National Conference will be ‘Human Capital for a Developed India’, which will include best practices and strategies to be adopted by the States and Union Territories. Under this broad theme, special emphasis will be given to five key areas, which include early childhood education, school education, skill development, higher education, sports and extra-curricular activities.

Six special sessions will also be organized on topics such as ‘Self-reliant India’, ‘Swadeshi’ and plans for ‘Post-LWE future’. Additionally, the meal will focus on discussions on topics such as heritage and manuscript conservation and digitization and integration of knowledge into AYUSH-primary healthcare delivery for all.

The National Conference of Chief Secretaries is being organized annually for the last four years. Its first conference was held in Dharamshala in June 2022.

After this, conferences were organized in New Delhi in January 2023, December 2023 and December 2024. Chief Secretaries of all states and union territories, senior officers, experts in the relevant field and other dignitaries will be present in this conference.
