Bengali actress joins TMC, gives reason for disillusionment with BJP!

Before the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, the state BJP has suffered a setback. Bengali actress and former BJP leader Parno Mitra joined TMC on Friday. Praising Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, she said that her journey has always been a source of inspiration for women like us.

Mamata government minister Chandrima Bhattacharya and party spokesperson Jai Prakash Majumdar included Parno Mitra in the party.

Speaking to IANS in Kolkata, TMC leader and actress Parno Mitra said that I like Mamata Banerjee’s way of working. This is the reason why I am associated with them today for the welfare of the people.

On joining TMC before the elections, he said that the reason for this is our Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. She is doing very good work for the people of Bengal, especially women. She is the best person to work with.

Referring to her political career, she said that when I thought that I would enter politics, I would work only for the public interest. Perhaps I did not get a chance to work as much as I aspired to. Since I am now with TMC, I will be very happy to work for my people.

Reiterating this, she said that we women are very inspired by the journey of Mamata Banerjee. She has done a lot of work for women.

Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya said that Parno Mitra herself said that at that time she thought that she would be able to work by joining BJP, but the truth is that no one can work in BJP, that is why she has joined our Trinamool Congress.
