Uttar Pradesh resolve to prevent child marriage, children heard Modi’s address!

Paying tribute to the immortal martyrdom of Veer Sahibzadas, on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, programs were organized on a large scale by educational and social institutions in Gautam Buddha Nagar district.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspirational address was heard through live broadcast in various government, private and social institutions of the district, in which children, adolescent girls and staff participated enthusiastically.

Special programs were organized in all the government and voluntary institutions, Anganwadi centers and private and government schools of the district including Government Girls Inter College, Hoshiarpur, Sector-51 Noida, Government Girls Home, Sector-62 Noida.

In his address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled the indomitable courage, sacrifice and patriotism of the brave Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh and said that the future of the country is in the hands of today’s children and youth. He emphasized on eliminating evils from the society, especially on education, security and empowerment of the girl child.

During the programme, a strong message was given against social evil like child marriage. A collective oath was taken by the girls, teachers, Anganwadi workers and other staff members present in the program for the complete prevention of child marriage.

Everyone pledged that they themselves would not indulge in child marriage, nor would they allow it to happen around them and would play an active role in spreading awareness against it in the society.

The girls participated in the program with full discipline, enthusiasm and seriousness. Officials and teachers made them aware of their rights, importance of education, health, safety and bright future. At the same time, the speakers said that building a strong nation is possible only by educating and empowering girls.

Child Protection Officer Vibha Tripathi, Child Welfare Committee Chairman Dr. KC Virmani, Child Line Coordinator, school principals, teachers, Anganwadi workers and a large number of boys and girls were present in the program.
