Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that every police officer and personnel should make Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s smart policing vision the basic mantra of their life.

While addressing the conference of senior police officers ‘Police Manthan-2025’, CM Yogi said that Prime Minister Modi has given the vision of smart policing to the country. Strict and sensitive, modern and dynamic, alert and accountable, reliable and responsive, technology-savvy and trained, every police officer and personnel should make this the mantra of their life.

Congratulating the UP Police for establishing rule of law in the state, he said that it is because of the rule of law that the citizens of the country’s most populous state are enjoying a sense of security compared to the feeling of insecurity earlier.

The Chief Minister said that to maintain the rule of law and face future challenges, we need to update ourselves.

He said that the discussions held in the two-day conference will play an important role in realizing Prime Minister Modi’s goals of ‘Smart Policing’ and ‘Vision 2047, Developed and Self-reliant India’.

The Chief Minister said what kind of modern, sensitive and effective police system is needed? In this direction, the roadmap prepared in the last two days is very important. He suggested that this conference should be organized every year to make it a permanent platform.

He said that the ideas, experiences and suggestions presented through 11 sessions by around 55 speakers will prove to be a milestone in making Uttar Pradesh Police more modern, sensitive, technology-enabled and based on public trust.

The Chief Minister congratulated the Director General of Police of Uttar Pradesh and all the police personnel participating in the conference for this meaningful event.

He also honored police officers and personnel of the state with ‘Chief Minister Excellence Awards’.

CM Yogi said that along with other initiatives in the state, efforts should also be made to provide scooters to women patrol officers associated with ‘Mission Shakti’, so that the program can be taken forward at a greater pace. He said that this is the biggest need today.

He said that suggestions to improve the police infrastructure have emerged in the conference. He said that in many districts we have constructed tall buildings for the employees instead of barracks.

He further said that we are committed to bringing change. When we came to power, there were 10 districts where there was a delay of more than two decades in creating police lines, but we provided funds, started reorganizing the Provisional Armed Constabulary (PAC) battalions, including women units.
