PM Modi will release the 500th book of Jain monk

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 500th book of Padma Bhushan awarded Jain Acharya Shri Ratnasundersurishwarji Maharaj Saheb during the Urja Mahotsav to be held in Mumbai on January 11. This festival will be organized from January 7 to January 12. This book of Acharya Ratnasundarsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb is considered an important milestone in his long literary career.

This book titled ‘World of Love, Love of the World’ has been translated into 21 languages ​​so far. According to the report, this fact reflects the global acceptance and widespread influence of the Jain spiritual leader’s thoughts and writings.

Recalling the beginning of his writing, Acharya Ratnasundarsurishwarji Maharaj told that his formal education was only till class 10th and there was a time when he found it impossible to write a book. He had told his guru Bhuvanbhanusurishwarji Maharaj that he could not even write a postcard. Recalling this incident, Acharya said, after five minutes I was writing and added that after that he never stopped writing.

This journey, which started with that simple instruction of the Guru, has today reached 500 books. Acharya’s literary world is spread across more than 80 subjects and genres. His works touch upon topics such as personal conduct, mental strength, social behavior and spiritual contemplation, as well as contemporary and unconventional issues.

Acharya Ratnasundarsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb has also written on subjects like marriage, cricket, social impact of mobile phones. Additionally, he once led a public campaign against the introduction of sex education for six-year-old children in Indian schools. In this context he said, “I have also written on things which I have not lived myself.”

He has also received two Guinness World Records for his extensive literary contribution. His life as a Jain monk even today is full of penance, silence, discipline and simplicity. The release of the 500th book is not only a historic moment in his personal life but is also being seen as a remarkable achievement in the Indian spiritual and literary tradition.
