Yogi government will strengthen Mission Shakti Kendras, Rs 67 crore!

Yogi government is continuously taking concrete steps to give a new direction to the security, respect and self-reliance of half the population. In this sequence, preparations are being made to make the Mission Shakti Centers established under the Mission Shakti Abhiyan more effective and powerful.

Under Mission Shakti 5.0, 1600 Mission Shakti Centers established across the state will be equipped with state-of-the-art resources next year, to ensure prevention of crimes against women and prompt assistance to victimized women. According to the government plan by Yogi government, two-wheelers and mobile handsets will be provided to Mission Shakti Centers in the year 2026.

ADG Padmaja Chauhan, nodal officer of Women and Child Protection Organization, said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 1600 Mission Shakti centers / police stations were established across the state under the Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign. Now various steps are being taken to further strengthen the Mission Shakti Kendra.

He said that there is a need for 4 scooties and one mobile handset at each Mission Shakti Kendra. In such a situation, a total of 6,400 new scooties and 1,600 mobile handsets are being considered for purchase for Mission Shakti Kendra. For this, a proposal will soon be made and sent to the government.

These resources will cost around Rs 67 crore. He said that after getting the green signal from the government and allocating the budget, these resources will be procured next year. Through these resources, the reach of Mission Shakti teams will be further strengthened in every village and locality, which will make it possible to take quick action on the complaints of women.

ADG Padmaja Chauhan said that the safety and upliftment of half the population of the state is the top priority of the Yogi government. Mission Shakti Abhiyan is being continuously expanded with the aim of taking strict action against crimes against women, speedy justice and providing sensitive support to the victims.

Mission Shakti Kendras are not only centers of help and counseling for women, but they are also playing an important role in making them aware of their rights. Through these centres, services like women’s helpline, counselling, legal aid, medical support and rehabilitation are being provided under one roof.

With the availability of two wheelers, the women personnel of Mission Shakti and the police team will be able to reach the spot quickly in case of any emergency. At the same time, real time monitoring, registering complaints and coordination with higher officials will be better through mobile handsets.

The new resources provided to Mission Shakti Centers will prove to be a milestone in the prevention of crime against women. This will not only increase the efficiency of police and administration, but will also strengthen the security confidence of common women. The aim of the Yogi government is to make Uttar Pradesh the safest and most favorable state for women, where they can move forward in education, employment and social life without fear.

It is known that the Yogi government has taken many historic initiatives regarding women’s safety in the past years. Steps like Anti Romeo Squad, Women Helpline 1090, 112 Emergency Service, Pink Booth, Women Desk and Fast Track Court have resulted in significant reduction in crimes against women.
