‘Pratishtha Dwadashi’, the second anniversary of the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla’s life, was celebrated with devotion on Wednesday at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also attended the ceremony. CM Yogi extended best wishes for the English New Year 2026 and prayed that this year be auspicious for everyone.
Chief Minister Yogi said that Ayodhya has seen many stages of the Ramjanmabhoomi movement in independent India. The very name of Ayodhya makes one realize that there was never any war here. No enemy could stand before the bravery, glory and bravery of this place, but some people, due to their selfishness, religious passion and appeasement of power, had made Ayodhya a center of disturbance and conflict.
Taking on the previous government, CM Yogi said that in Ayodhya, where there was never any conflict, there used to be terrorist attacks during the rule of the previous governments.
An attempt was made to bleed Ayodhya, but where God’s blessings are showered and where Hanumanji Maharaj himself is seated in Hanumangarhi, how could a terrorist enter there? In 2005, as soon as the terrorists had the audacity, the PAC soldiers attacked them and killed them.
CM Yogi said that Ayodhya can never forget the three important incidents that took place within 11 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. For the first time in independent India, a Prime Minister arrived in Ayodhya on 5 August 2020. He performed Bhoomi Pujan of Shri Ram temple here that day. On 22 January 2024 (Paush Shukla Dwadashi), the Prime Minister again came to Ayodhya Dham and completed the consecration program of the grand idol of Ram Lalla.
On Vivah Panchami on 25 November 2025, the Prime Minister installed the saffron flag of Sanatan Dharma on the main peak of Ram temple in Ayodhya and gave the message that no one is above Sanatan. Sanatan’s flag will always appear like this.
He said that while discharging various responsibilities of work and organization as the Chief Minister of UP, Rajnath Singh has played a direct role in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. After 500 years, they are feeling joy and pride after seeing the presence of Lord Ramlala at the birthplace of Shri Ram and seeing this grand form of the temple.
When the Defense Minister, who played an active role in the movement, was hoisting the flag of Sanatan Dharma at the temple of Maa Annapurna on Pratishtha Dwadashi, I saw him getting emotional.
CM Yogi said that before 2017 there was no electricity, water, sanitation, roads, connectivity and security. There used to be lathi charge and arrest for chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’, but to carry forward the message of Ayodhya, every follower of Sanatan Dharma in the country and the world is now overwhelmed by having darshan here. Earlier a few lakh people used to come here, but in the last five years more than 45 crore devotees came to Ayodhya. Ayodhya, the capital of Surya dynasty, has become the country’s first solar city.
There is an international airport in Ayodhya Dham and Ayodhya is connected with the double line of railway. Connectivity here improved from all sides. Ayodhya which had single lane roads, today has four lane roads.
Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Mahant Yogi Adityanath said that now ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Ram-Ram’ can be said everywhere in the country. Now the scheme of Government of India has also come in the name of ‘Ji Ram Ji’. This is going to be the biggest employment scheme.
If any unemployed person says that he wants employment in his Gram Panchayat, he will get the guarantee of employment for 125 days in a year in the village itself. Our generation is fortunate.
Referring to the five hundred years of history, he said that from 1528 to 1992 and even after that, every 20-25 years, Ram devotees were continuously fighting to take back the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He stopped, bowed and did not sit.
He did not care about power, oppression, sticks and bullets, rather he kept fighting. This movement reached new heights of success when RSS gave leadership. Ashok Sinhal achieved success in bringing the revered saints on one platform. The stigma of slavery was removed and the way for the grand Ram temple was paved.
CM Yogi said that today a ceremony was organized to commemorate the completion of two years of consecration. To maintain the grandeur and divinity of Ayodhya forever, every follower of Sanatan Dharma will have to move forward. This is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a new journey. Feeling proud of the heritage, a new paradigm of development has to be established every day.
