Congress has been cut off from the ground, BJP is still among the people: Fatehjang Singh Bajwa!

Punjab BJP Vice President Fatehjang Singh Bajwa made a scathing attack on Congress and opposition parties and expressed his views openly on many issues. He reacted in detail to everything from the statement of TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee to Congress’s ground hold, Rahul Gandhi’s politics, controversies related to Bangladesh, Mohan Bhagwat’s statement and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s allegations.

Fatehjang Singh Bajwa said that TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee has tried to show the mirror to Congress and this is not hidden from anyone. As of today, Congress is completely cut off from the people at the grassroots level. Congress leaders are limited to mere rhetoric, while they have no real connection with the public. On the contrary, BJP constantly lives among the people and works on their issues.

Giving the example of West Bengal, he said that no matter what the environment is there, BJP workers are still present there, contesting elections and preparing election strategies. Bajwa said that this is the difference between BJP and Congress. Congress only gives speeches, whereas BJP works on the ground. Referring to the elections in Haryana, Bihar and other states, he said that the basic connection that Congress had with the public in these places has now been completely broken.

Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi, Fatehjang Singh Bajwa said that politics is also a kind of competition. On one side is Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his entire team, whose vision, leadership and direction are clear.

On the other side is Rahul Gandhi and his team, who themselves do not know what they want to say and what they want to do. He sarcastically said that Rahul Gandhi might have to take not just one but many births to compete with PM Modi. The public is clearly seeing the difference between the two.

Responding to BJP leader Sangeet Som’s statement on KKR buying a Bangladeshi player, Bajwa said that when minorities, especially Hindus, are being selectively killed in a country, then it is natural to question relations with such a country. In such circumstances it would be insensitive to talk only about sports. When our Hindu brothers are being murdered, should we not raise the question why should their team come to India and why should we play matches with them?

He said in clear words that until the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh do not stop, India should refrain not only from playing matches but also from maintaining relations with them. Bajwa said that India has always stood against oppression and will continue to do so. Even remaining silent when a community is being targeted is a crime.

Bajwa gave a balanced reaction to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement that India is a country of Hindus. He said that calling India a country of Hindus does not mean that minorities are not respected here.

India is a country of all religions, all communities. Here every citizen has equal rights. Everyone contributes to the progress of the country and that is why today India is included among the big economies of the world. India belongs to Hindus as well as minorities.

Raising questions on the statement given by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge about looting of BJP in 2025, Bajwa said, which loot is being talked about? Is it loot of votes, loot of money or loot of people? He said that Congress should look inside itself before making such allegations. If Congress sees itself as a responsible opposition, it should first overcome its organizational weaknesses and go among the people.

He said that if we talk about scams and scams, the country has seen big scams like 2G scam, coal scam only during the Congress rule. The public has not forgotten everything, nor is the public so narrow minded that it believes in allegations without evidence.

On allegations like vote theft, Bajwa said that if Congress has any evidence then it should bring it forward. If there has indeed been vote theft and it is proved, then the public will never forgive the guilty party. But mere words do not make truth. At the same time, Bajwa expressed strong objection to the statement comparing Rahul Gandhi with Lord Shri Ram. He said that he feels sorry for this kind of thinking.

He said that comparing a human being with God is not only wrong but it is also a very poor form of flattery. The status of God is much higher than that of any human being and such comparison is completely unfair. Bajwa strongly condemned such statements and said that it is very important to maintain the level of decorum and thinking in politics.
