It was difficult to write the song for the film Shatak on the centenary of RSS: Rakesh Kumar Pal
It has been 100 years since the establishment of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). On this occasion, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is going door-to-door to make people aware about joint family and less use of plastic.
On completion of 100 years, a feature film is also being made on the Sangh, named ‘RSS 100 Years – Shatak’. Lyricist Rakesh Kumar Pal has written the lyrics of the songs in the film and he had to face many problems while writing the songs.
At the launch of the first song of the film ‘Shatak’, which depicts the 100 years of RSS, lyricist Rakesh Kumar Pal said, “I usually write commercial songs. This was the first time to work on a film like this.
I have written songs for films before, but this project was something different for me. Initially I did not have complete information, but with the help and support of the team I was able to write songs. There are four songs in the film.”
He further said, “All four songs had the same topic revolving around them and it was difficult to make them keeping the four songs separate, but it is said that if the destination is right and the partner is right then it becomes easier to get out of the midstream. We record the song several times before making it and there was more Hindi in the song, so we told the lyrics to Veerji because who knows what wrong word might be used, so the song was checked several times.”
Lyricist Rakesh Kumar Pal is known for his excellent songs in Bollywood, which include songs like ‘Rula Ke Gaya Ishq’, ‘Tum Mile’, ‘Sonio’, ‘Baby Doll’, ‘Chittiyan Kalaiyan’, ‘Sooraj Dooba Hai’, ‘Lovely’, ‘Desi Look’, ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’, and ‘Jhoome Jo Pathan’.
Let us tell you that the first glimpse of ‘Shatak’ has also been released, in which an attempt has been made to show the 100 years of struggle of RSS. The film is being produced by Veer Kapoor and Ashish Tiwari is the co-producer, while the film is directed by Ashish Mall. The aim of the film is to make today’s youth aware of history, Hindu pride and tradition.
