Exit Poll: 29 municipal corporation elections completed in Maharashtra, Mahayuti has lead in exit poll!

Elections of 29 municipal corporations in Maharashtra, including Mumbai, were completed peacefully on Thursday after several months of political turmoil. Now all eyes are on the counting of votes on Friday, when it will be clear how many seats which party got and whose head will be crowned with power. However, the exit polls of various agencies that came out before that have intensified the stir in the political circles.

According to the exit poll, this time the Mahayuti led by BJP and its allies seems to be getting a clear lead, while Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) and Congress are seen lagging behind in the electoral contest.

First of all, if we talk about the exit poll of Axis My India, then according to its estimate BJP+ can get 131 to 151 seats. Whereas Shiv Sena (UBT)+ is expected to get 58 to 68 seats. Congress+ is expected to get 12 to 16 seats, while other parties and independents may get 6 to 12 seats.

According to the exit poll of DV Research, the BJP-led Mahayuti is likely to get 107 to 122 seats. The alliance of Thackeray brothers may get 68 to 83 seats. Congress and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi together are expected to get 18 to 25 seats, while NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) is expected to get 2 to 4 seats. Others may get 8 to 15 seats.

Apart from this, JVC’s exit poll has also shown Mahayuti in a strong position. According to this survey, BJP led Mahayuti is expected to get around 138 seats, Thackeray brothers’ alliance is expected to get 23 seats, while other parties are expected to get 7 seats.

Now all eyes are on the results on Friday, which will decide how accurate the exit poll predictions prove to be.
