Famous screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar is celebrating his birthday on Saturday. On this special occasion, his family and close friends extended loving congratulations on social media. Javed Akhtar’s daughter and famous director Zoya Akhtar shared an old picture of the writer on Instagram. With this he wrote, “Happy Birthday, Papa. Thank you for giving everything.”
Actress Shabana Azmi shared Javed Akhtar’s picture on Instagram. He wrote, “Happy anniversary magic.” On the actress’ post, her girl gang, i.e. Dia Mirza, Divya Dutta and many actresses wished her happy birthday in the comment section.

Javed Akhtar wrote blockbuster films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Sita Aur Geeta’ under the name of Salim-Javed duo and also introduced the image of Amitabh Bachchan as ‘Angry Young Man’ in Hindi cinema.
This iconic pair of Salim-Javed broke up in 1981-82 and both never worked together again. After this, Javed Akhtar worked as a lyricist for films like ‘Tezaab’, ‘1942: A Love Story’, ‘Border’, ‘Lagaan’.
Javed Akhtar’s first marriage was with Honey Irani, with whom he has children Farhan and Zoya Akhtar. His second marriage was with Shabana Azmi.
