The Congress Party Has No Development Agenda It Has Lost The People’s Trust
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public meeting held at Kaliabor in Assam’s Nagaon district on Sunday (January 18), launched a scathing attack on the Congress and said the party has no “development agenda” and has lost the trust of the public. The Prime Minister claimed that public support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has steadily increased across the country in the last two years, which reflects people’s growing confidence in the government’s policies and development work.
During his visit to Assam, Prime Minister Modi said that the people now want a stable government and rapid development, whereas the Congress has not been able to move forward from negative politics and old methods. He said the focus of BJP’s policies is expansion of infrastructure, connectivity and bringing real improvement in the lives of the common citizen.
In a separate development during the meeting, the Prime Minister asked his colleagues to collect their paintings and photographs brought by people in the audience. There was enthusiasm among the people present at the venue.
In his address, the Prime Minister also recalled his previous visit to Kaziranga National Park. He said that his time spent in Kaziranga two years ago had been one of the most special experiences of his life and he felt privileged to be back there again. He appreciated the natural heritage and biodiversity of Assam and laid emphasis on its conservation.
