Terrorism and cricket cannot go together: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti!
“There will be no relations with Pakistan until cross-border terrorism is stopped,” this should be India’s firm policy. Merely shaking hands on the cricket field is not enough to oppose Pakistan.
Not only cricket, but any kind of relation should not be maintained with Pakistan. ‘Blood stains cannot be hidden with cricket jerseys’, the Indian Government has demanded that the Government of India adopt such a strict role, this has been demanded by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti through movements conducted at various places.
Chartered Accountant (CA) and Advocate Sarvesh Mehendle, Advocate Mugdha Biwalkar of Rashtrabhakt Advocate Samiti, General Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha Ujjwala Gaud, Shri of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti participated in the movement organized at Rajaram Bridge, Sinhagarh Road in Pune. Parag Gokhale and Pune District Convenor of Hindu Rashtra Coordination Committee, Shri. Sachin Ghule and other dignitaries were present. Similarly, prohibition movement was also conducted at Delhi Gate of Ahilyanagar.
Apart from this, the committee and other pro-Hindu organizations strongly demanded the cancellation of India-Pak cricket match by submitting memorandum to the District Magistrates in Satara, Kolhapur and various places across the state.
In this context, the national spokesperson of the committee, Shri. Ramesh Shinde said that India had adopted a strict stance during the Indus Water Treaty that “water and blood cannot flow together.” The same role should now be adopted in the context of cricket also. When our soldiers are shedding their blood on the border and a serious campaign like ‘Operation Sindoor’ is going on in the country, then playing cricket with Pakistan is a grave insult to our soldiers and the patriotic public.
Pakistani players are not just players, but they are often seen running an anti-India agenda. Shahid Afridi and Javed Miandad often spew venom on Kashmir, while Shoaib Akhtar openly supported ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’. Why should India play with players with such mentality?
Mister. Shinde further said that in the backdrop of atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, BCCI had recently forced Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman out of the ‘Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) team. The same strict role should now be adopted with Pakistan. Sports and terrorism cannot go hand in hand. The Government of India should state this in clear words.
