The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has blacklisted director Aditya Dhar’s production company B62 Productions after alleged rule violations during the shooting of the film Dhurandhar: The Revenge in Mumbai. Also, a fine of Rs 1 lakh has been imposed and a security deposit of Rs 25,000 has been confiscated.

According to the report, recently there were complaints of violation of many rules during the shooting in Mumbai. According to reports, BMC had received a complaint from a local resident about the use of fire torches on the sets. According to the civic body, the film team was “given a verbal warning on the spot not to use fire torches until the shooting is completed.” Despite this, the rules were allegedly not followed and police later seized five fire torches from the location.

On Saturday (February 15), a proposal note was submitted by the maintenance staff, recommending forfeiture of the security deposit of Rs 25,000. This amount was deposited on the online permission platform. Apart from this, applicants Komal Pokhriyal and Nasir Khan had given written assurance not to use fire during the shooting. A proposal was made to blacklist them along with B62 Productions. Also, it was recommended to impose a fine of Rs 1 lakh for violation of written assurance.

The proposal note also mentioned that “production houses will be blacklisted from applying on the online facility of Maharashtra Film City, and a fine of Rs 1 lakh will be imposed for violation.”
