Journalist attacked in Nalasopara, incident near police post raises questions!

The attack on a journalist in Santoshbhavan area of ​​Nalasopara, Maharashtra has raised serious questions on law and order. According to the information, on January 8 at around 11:40 pm, journalist Kailash Anil Lokhande was going to his home in Dhanivbagh.

It is being told that a Swift Dezire (MH-48-DD-2541) car overtook them and suddenly stopped the road near Sitaram Hotel located at Santosh Bhawan Naka. According to eyewitnesses, some unknown people who got out of the car attacked him without any argument and beat him up in the middle of the road. The attackers reportedly said, “You become a great journalist,” and fled the scene.

The victim journalist says that he does not even recognize the attackers and the reason for the attack is not clear.

The most worrying aspect is that this incident happened just 25 meters away from Santosh Bhawan police station. Due to the incident happening so close, questions are being raised among the local people about the activeness of the police.

Demanding immediate arrest of the culprits and strict action, he said that it is the responsibility of the administration to ensure the safety of journalists and such incidents are a matter of grave concern for democracy.
