Pm Tariq Rahman Swings Into Action As Soon As He Takes Charge Assures Security To Minorities

A new government has been established in Bangladesh and the country has got its leader. After witnessing huge unrest and violence, now the people of Bangladesh got to see a new sun of change. As soon as he took charge of the country, Prime Minister Tariq Rehman has issued a strict warning regarding law and order.

Along with this he showed solidarity for the minority community. Minority communities in the country have seen and experienced violence crossing the extreme limits. In such a situation, this new government can become a ray of hope for them.

According to information shared by Bangladeshi media Dhaka Tribune, Prime Minister Rahman in his address stressed that bringing back peace and people’s trust is the first priority of the government.

“Irrespective of party, religion, caste or creed, the main priority of our government is to bring back peace and security in the minds of people by improving law and order and strictly controlling corruption,” he said.

During this, he described the spread of gambling and drugs as a major reason for deteriorating the security of the people and announced strict action against such activities. PM Rehman said that law enforcement agencies have already been instructed to take strict action.

The Prime Minister also emphasized that all constitutional, government and private institutions will work strictly as per legal policies and rules. He declared, “Neither party influence, nor respect, nor coercion, the rule of law will prevail in running the state.”

The Bangladeshi PM stressed on taking everyone along and said, “Whether someone is Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or Christian, religion does not make any difference to his citizenship.

Those who voted for BNP and those who did not, all of you have equal rights on this government. Everyone may have his own party, religion and thinking, but the country belongs to everyone. This is the country of all of us, which we have to take forward together.”

In order to promote honesty in government offices, Tariq announced that BNP MPs will not avail of some traditional facilities.

He said, “In the first cabinet meeting, we decided that no MP will import tax-free vehicles and allot any plot under government benefits.” Describing this decision as a glimpse of fairness, he said that the government will try to maintain ethical governance standards.
