Kiren Rijiju launches surveillance app, Hajj wristband and AI chatbot!

Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju launched the monitoring app to address infrastructure deficiencies under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) and also unveiled the Hajj wristband and artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot.

Union Minister Rijiju, while praising the team of the Ministry of Minority Affairs for the ‘Chintan Shivir’ organized at Nalanda University in Bihar, said that Nalanda is a symbol of the heritage of India’s ancient civilization and a major center of excellence.

The statement further said that the monitoring app has been designed to enhance transparency, real-time monitoring and implementation of infrastructure projects in minority dominated areas. It aims to address development gaps, improve Centre-State coordination and advance the vision of Developed India 2047.

The Union Minister emphasized that the discussions at the ‘Chintan Shivir’ will help in streamlining Centre-State coordination, enhancing stakeholder participation and ensuring successful implementation at the ground level.

The event was attended by Union and State Ministers, senior officials and experts from the relevant field to deliberate on the policy-based roadmap for minority welfare and socio-economic empowerment.

The Ministry showcased its major achievements through schemes like PMJVK, Enhancement of Prime Minister’s Legacy (PM Vikas), National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC), Unified Waqf Management, Empowerment, Efficiency and Development (UMEED) Central Portal, Haj Modernization and digital initiatives and also presented its vision of achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of a developed India by 2047.

Minister of State for Minority Affairs George Kurien said that the PMJVK scheme is playing an important role in realizing Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘Developed India’.

Minister of State Kurien further said that the scheme has contributed to the infrastructural development of minority areas across the country. Haj related initiatives of PM Vikas, NMDFC, Umeed Central Portal and Ministry of Minority Affairs are contributing to the welfare and development of minorities.

Minority Affairs Secretary Chandra Shekhar Kumar expressed his gratitude to all the dignitaries present at the program and appreciated the state government and Nalanda officials for making the ‘Chintan Shivir’ a success.

The objective of ‘Chintan Shivir’ is to ensure citizen participation for a developed India through ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’.
