The video of the courage with which an NRI woman faced alleged robbers in Ludhiana, Punjab, has gone viral on social media. Harjind Kaur, who recently returned from Australia, instead of being afraid of two bike-riding suspects on a deserted road, took out a sword and confronted them, after which they fled from the spot.
This incident is being reported on Friday (February 20) evening. Harjind Kaur was visiting a relative’s house in Ludhiana with her aunt and mother-in-law. She herself was driving the car, while her aunt was sitting in the front seat. On the way, he suspected that two people riding a motorcycle were continuously following his car.
“Despite giving way to the motorcycle to let the car overtake the car, the alleged miscreants continued chasing us,” Harjind Kaur said while talking to the media on Saturday. He told that when the situation seemed suspicious, his aunt started recording the incident.
After some time, when the speed of the car slowed down, it is alleged that one of the bike riders threw eggs on the windscreen, so that the visibility was obstructed. “I didn’t understand what happened; I had never faced such a situation before,” said Kaur. “The way they threw the eggs convinced me that they wanted to rob us,” he added.
It can be seen in the video that the bike rider overtakes the car and stops at a deserted place ahead. As soon as Harjind Kaur stopped the car and decided to get out, her aunt could be heard shouting, “Don’t go out, leave, they will kill you.”

However, Harjind Kaur came out of the car and stood in the middle of the road with a sword in her hand. He challenged the alleged miscreants to move forward and waved his sword while moving towards them for some distance. Frightened by their unexpected resistance, both the suspects fled from the spot.
After the video of the incident went viral on social media, people are praising his courage. On a lighter note, Harjind Kaur said, “They chose the wrong target.” Taking cognizance of the video, Ludhiana Police has said that they are taking immediate action. According to the police, two suspects have been detained, a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
