On Rohit Pawar’s allegations, Shinde said, there should be an impartial investigation into the plane crash!
Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) Maharashtra President Shashikant Shinde has supported Rohit Pawar’s allegations regarding the Ajit Pawar plane crash. Apart from this, he reacted on Madrasa, Rajya Sabha elections, PM Modi’s visit to Israel and Nitish Rane’s statement.
NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar had accused Union Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of trying to save the company ‘VSR’ involved in the fatal plane crash on January 28 and not registering an FIR.
Speaking to IANS, Shashikant Shinde said, “The demand to register an FIR and investigate the matter is right. If Rohit Pawar had not raised his voice, the matter would have been swept under the rug. We should get answers to our doubts.”
On the question of Nitish Rane calling Madrasa a terrorist base, Shashikant Shinde said that nothing like this has happened in Maharashtra till now. If people from the government say such things then religious harmony will deteriorate. Such petty politics should not be done.
On the prayers offered in the electricity department of Malegaon Municipal Corporation, Shashikant Shinde said, “There was never any unrest in the name of religion or caste in Maharashtra before, but today we are seeing that people are trying to politicize anyone by making them an issue.”
On the question of who will be made the Rajya Sabha member from NCP (SP), Shashikant Shinde said that the matter is being discussed and the final decision will be taken in the next two-three days. Sharad Pawar has reached Mumbai and will meet him in the next two-three days. Our demand is that Pawar Saheb should contest the Rajya Sabha elections.”
Speaking to reporters at the Vidhan Bhawan complex in Mumbai on February 25, Rohit Pawar had said that on the day of the accident, when Ajit Pawar’s body was kept in the hospital for postmortem, at the same time at 1:36 pm the DGCA had released the initial report.
