Prime Minister Modi declared the relationship as a special strategic partnership in the joint press conference!

Prime Minister Modi addressed the India-Israel joint press conference on Thursday, the second day of his two-day visit to Israel. Prime Minister Modi started his speech by saying Shalom (Namaskar) to everyone. He said that I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for the warm welcome extended to me and the Indian delegation. I express my heartfelt gratitude.

Prime Minister Modi said that I got the opportunity to address the Israeli Parliament on Wednesday. Today I got a chance to come here once again after nine years. I feel proud to be here again after nine years.

He said that I was honored with the “Speaker of the Knesset Award”. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Parliament, the Speaker, my friend Prime Minister Netanyahu and the people of Israel for this honour. I dedicate this honor to the friendship of 140 crore Indians and the people of India and Israel.

PM Modi said that in today’s meeting we discussed giving new direction and faster pace to our cooperation. Last year, we signed a Bilateral Investment Agreement to promote mutual investment. Soon, we will conclude a mutually beneficial free trade agreement. Technology is a core part of our partnership.

Today, we have decided to form a partnership for essential and emerging technologies. This will accelerate cooperation in areas like AI, quantum computing, and essential minerals.

He said that today we have decided to give the status of a special strategic partnership to a partnership that has stood the test of time. This decision reflects the expectations of both our countries. Our relationship is based on deep trust, shared democratic values ​​and commitment to humanitarian principles.

PM Modi said that I am happy that an agreement has also been signed for the use of UPI. Our priority has been to connect the youth, investors and researchers of both the countries. We have established the India-Israel Academic Forum.

He said, “Today we had a wide-ranging discussion on regional and global issues. While promoting regional connectivity, we will move forward with new momentum on the India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor and India Israel UAE USA (ITU).

PM Modi said that India and Israel are completely clear that terrorism has no place in the world. Terrorism in any form, in any manifestation cannot be accepted. We have been standing shoulder to shoulder in opposing terrorism and their supporters and will continue to do so.
