Five Year Old Boy Falls Asleep On School Bus Trapped For Seven Hours
A five-year-old student of a private school in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is alleged to have been locked in a school bus for nearly seven hours after he fell asleep during a morning journey. After this incident there was anger among the parents. According to family members, the child boarded the school bus on Thursday (February 27) morning but slept on the back seat. When the bus reached the school, other children got off, but the staff did not check the bus properly and parked it in a bus yard about 25 kilometers away, leaving the student stranded in the bus.
The incident came to light around 12 noon, when the child’s mother reached school to pick him up and was told that he was absent from school. However, transport records revealed that he had boarded the bus, leading to panic and family and school officials began searching for him. Eventually the child was found in a bus parked in the bus yard and was handed over to his family members. The family has accused the school management and transport personnel of negligence and demanded strict action.

The school said in a statement that the child was left in the old bus after a last-minute change of vehicle due to a technical problem. As soon as the problem was discovered, the student was located and was safe. The school also said that they have started reviewing the transportation rules and assured strict accountability and additional security measures to avoid such incidents in future.
