PM Modi said on Iran-America tension, India is in favor of peace!

Amidst the increasing conflict in the Middle East, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has again given a message of peace to the entire world. He said that India’s thinking regarding the ongoing tensions in the world is clear. We have called for maintaining peace and stability. When two democracies stand together, the voice of peace becomes stronger.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in New Delhi, Prime Minister Modi said, “The current situation in West Asia is a matter of deep concern for us. India supports resolution of all disputes through dialogue and diplomacy. We will continue to work closely with all countries for the safety of all Indian citizens present in the region.”

Referring to the agreements signed between India and Canada, PM Modi said that we will work on increasing defense industries, maritime domain awareness and military exchanges. For this purpose, today we have decided to establish the India-Canada Defense Dialogue.

He said that we agree that terrorism, extremism and radicalism are common and serious challenges not only for both countries but for all humanity. Our close cooperation against them is extremely important for global peace and stability.

In the joint press conference, PM Modi said that since our first meeting, there has been a new energy, mutual trust and positivity in our relations. I give credit to my friend Prime Minister Carney for the increasing pace in every field of cooperation.

PM Modi said that India and Canada have unwavering faith in democratic values. The well-being of humanity is our shared vision. This vision inspires us to move forward in every field. Today we discussed turning this vision into a next-level partnership.

PM Modi said that I am very happy to welcome Prime Minister Carney to India. This is his first visit to India as Prime Minister. We see this as an important milestone. He warmly welcomed me and my delegation to the G7 meeting held in Canada last year. It is a privilege for me to welcome him with the same cordiality today.
