We Had No Competition Says Virat Kohli Praising Team India

The Indian cricket team created history on Sunday (8 March) by winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 title. In the final played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India won the T20 World Cup for the record third time by defeating the New Zealand cricket team by 96 runs.

After this historic victory of Team India, former captain Virat Kohli praised the players and team management. He wrote on social media platform

Kohli said in his message, “Champions! Great win for Team India in Ahmedabad. There was absolutely no match for our explosive cricket throughout the tournament. The players showed great spirit even in difficult circumstances and became world champions once again. Congratulations to all the players and team management for this achievement. Jai Hind.”

Strong performance by Indian batsmen:

Batting first in the final, India scored a huge score of 255 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. This was also the biggest score in the history of T20 World Cup final.

For India, Sanju Samson played a brilliant inning of 89 runs and laid the foundation for the team’s victory. Whereas Abhishek Sharma gave a fast start by scoring 52 runs in 21 balls.

Apart from this, Ishan Kishan scored 54 runs in 25 balls, while Shivam Dubey’s brilliant batting in the last overs took India’s score to 255.

Historic victory under Gautam Gambhir’s coaching:

Under the guidance of coach Gautam Gambhir, the Indian team performed brilliantly throughout the tournament and successfully defended the title.

With this victory, India became the first team to defend the T20 World Cup title and registered its name in golden letters in the history of cricket.
