Vishwa Hindu Parishad Will Organize Samrasata Yatra To Promote Social Harmony And End Discrimination
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP)’s Konkan province has announced to organize a five-day ‘Samarasata Yatra’ with the aim of promoting harmony in the society and ending discrimination and untouchability. This campaign will be organized from March 11 to March 15, 2026 in various districts of Mumbai.
According to the statement issued by the organization, this yatra will be organized in Vidyanagar, Sahar, Oshiwara and Dindoshi districts of Mumbai. The objective of the campaign is to spread the message of equality and unity in the society and to increase awareness among people about the need for a discrimination-free social system.
The Council said in its statement that untouchability and social discrimination have no place neither in religion nor in society. The organization believes that to end these evils, it is necessary to bring changes not only at the thought level but also in behavior.
The organization said that this initiative is part of a broader effort to unite and empower the society, which aims to promote mutual respect and brotherhood in the society while preserving Sanatan traditions and values. Various types of public relations activities will be organized under the programme. These will include contact campaigns in local settlements, women’s meetings, public processions and closing public meetings.
According to organizers, each day of the trip will begin at 9:30 a.m. with visits to two local communities and continue until 1 p.m. After this, a special meeting of women will be organized at 3 pm. The procession will be taken out at 5 pm, while a public meeting will be held at the designated venue in the concerned district at 8:30 pm.
Council leaders say that the objective of this campaign is to increase awareness in the society and strengthen the feeling of respect and equality towards all classes. According to the organization, through ‘Samarasata Yatra’, concrete initiatives will be taken towards increasing dialogue between different sections of the society and eliminating social evils like discrimination.
