Martyr Santosh Jagdale’s daughter gets government job in Maharashtra!

The assurance given by the Maharashtra government to the family of Santosh Jagdale, who was martyred in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, has finally been fulfilled. Asavari Santosh Jagdale, daughter of martyr Santosh Jagdale, has been issued appointment letter to the post of Class-2 Officer (Administrative Officer) in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). On this happy occasion, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis himself spoke to Asawari on phone and congratulated him.

Santosh Jagdale, a resident of Pune, was martyred in a terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir in April 2025. Many other people from Maharashtra were also killed in this attack. After the incident, the state government had promised financial assistance and government jobs to the martyr families. Asawari Jagdale was waiting for a job for the last one year.

During this period, he contacted government officials several times, but the process got delayed. After their plight came to light in the media in February 2026, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, MP Medha Kulkarni, Union Minister of State Muralidhar Mohol and other leaders made special efforts. Deputy Chief Minister Shinde had instructed Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram that the process should be expedited.

After receiving the appointment letter, Asawari expressed his gratitude while talking to journalists. He said, “I am deeply grateful to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for their support, guidance and sympathy during this difficult time.” He also thanked MP Medha Kulkarni, Minister Muralidhar Mohol, Raja Barate and Sushil Mengde for their continuous encouragement.

Asawari expressed special gratitude to Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, auditorium leader Ganesh Bidkar and Mayor Manjusha Nagpure, who supported this appointment. She said emotionally, “This is not just a job for me, but a big responsibility. I am accepting it with humility and determination.

I am missing my father a lot. His absence cannot be expressed in words. I seek his blessings from heaven and promise to bring glory to his name by working with honesty, integrity and dedication.”
