America worried over Pakistan’s increasing missile capability, demands strict stance!

America’s intelligence agency chief Tulsi Gabbard has expressed concern over Pakistan’s increasing missile capability. He has said that the way Islamabad is increasing the firepower of ballistic missiles, they can reach America very soon. Due to continuous sanctions, international isolation and expansion of nuclear weapons, Pakistan’s path now looks like that of North Korea. This is increasing the threat to America.

He says that terrorist networks are flourishing amid the economic crisis in Pakistan, hence America needs to adopt a more strict stance before frustration leads to destruction.

Presenting her 2026 threat assessment report to senators, Tulsi Gabbard said Pakistan’s new and advanced ballistic missiles are armed with nuclear or conventional warheads, with a range potentially extending to the continental US. This is a change from earlier assessments, which considered Pakistani missiles limited to South Asia.

Pakistan is not only increasing the number of nuclear weapons but is also making their technology more modern. It talks about developing the capability to target multiple targets simultaneously on missiles like Ababil. Due to rivalry with India and technical help from China, Pakistan’s military capability is no longer limited to defense needs only.

America has also imposed some restrictions to stop this. In December, the US Treasury took action against four institutions of Pakistan, which included the National Development Complex. They were accused of acquiring equipment related to missiles. Later in April 2025, sanctions were also imposed on 19 more companies for work related to nuclear and missile programs. In these, the supply network of many companies related to China was mentioned.

The report also says that terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed are still active in Pakistan. This further increases the concern about nuclear security. Citing the example of Osama bin Laden, the report said that it is difficult to fully trust the country where he was found hiding in Abbottabad regarding the safety of nuclear weapons.

According to him, America needs to adopt a more strict policy towards Pakistan, because this combination of economic crisis, missile program and terrorist structure can become a big threat in the future.
