Mathura: Memorial to be built in memory of cow protector ‘Farsa Baba’, cow shelter will get help
After the demise of cow protector Chandrashekhar alias ‘Farsa Baba’ in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, the administration has made several important announcements in his memory. His funeral was held on Saturday (21 March) evening, which was attended by a large number of his followers and associates. During this, senior officials of the district administration and police were also present on the spot.
District Magistrate Chandraprakash Singh said that the accident happened around 3:30 am amid dense fog near the Haryana border. Farsa Baba was checking a truck with his colleagues, when another truck with Rajasthan number came from behind and collided with them. In this accident, Farsa Baba died on the spot, while the truck driver involved in the accident also died during treatment.
The administration has announced that a memorial (samadhi) will be constructed in the memory of Farsa Baba at the site of his last rites. Also, government assistance will be given to their cow shelter, so that the work related to cow service can be carried forward. The District Magistrate also said that the proposal to grant licenses to eligible and needy persons will be considered.
Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar gave assurance regarding law and order in the area. He said that a police post would be established in the name of Farsa Baba, so that the security system in the area could be further strengthened. He also clarified that no innocent person will be targeted.
The SSP warned the people that strict action will be taken against those spreading any kind of rumour. The administration has appealed to the general public to maintain calm and rely only on official information. There is a wave of mourning among Farsa Baba’s supporters due to his demise, while the announcements made by the administration are being seen as a mark of respect for his contribution.
