Russia’s statement on detention of Ukrainian citizens, role of embassy in question!
India’s National Investigation Agency had detained six Ukrainians and one American citizen at the international airports of New Delhi, Lucknow and Kolkata on March 13. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has expressed her reaction on the arrest of six Ukrainian citizens.
A Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said, “These people crossed the Myanmar border into Mizoram and established contacts with local armed ethnic groups in order to supply them with EU-made drones and to train them in drone assembly-repair and electronic warfare. Indian media quoted the NIA as saying that these armed groups have links with insurgents in north-eastern India.”
Targeting the Ukrainian Embassy in India, he said, “The reaction of the Ukrainian Embassy in India was quite shocking, as it tried to hide this incident and the suspicious activities of its citizens, which were clearly designed to destabilize the situation in the region.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry chose to remain silent on the violation of India’s counter-terrorism law by its citizens and wasted no time in accusing “some Indian and Russian news agencies” of deliberately falsifying the facts.
Taking aim at the Ukrainian President, a Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said the incident clearly shows that Zelensky’s regime is the main exporter of instability around the world.
Today, Kiev is a major supplier of weapons and military technology to the global black market, including supplying military products to Latin American drug cartels and training terrorists in Africa. The Ukrainian trap created by Western countries is reaching regional conflicts in the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Maria Zakharova said, “Just a few days ago, Zelensky openly said that several hundred Ukrainian fighters have been deployed to take part in the ongoing conflict in the Persian Gulf region as instructors and experts in using unmanned aerial vehicles. Of course, there can be no question of imposing international monitoring on Ukraine’s military technology exports.”
