The spokesperson of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters (Joint Combat Command Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces) has mocked US President Donald Trump’s claims. Trump had claimed that America is negotiating with Iran and the war is about to end. In a video, the military spokesperson took a jibe at America and said that the situation has become such that Americans are now talking to themselves.
The spokesperson said, “The strategic strength of which you were boasting has now turned into a strategic defeat. Do not call your defeat a ‘compromise’. The era of your promises is over. There are only two fronts in the world today, truth and falsehood. No freedom-loving and truth-seeking person will fall prey to your media propaganda. Your internal situation has reached such a level that you are talking to yourself. Unless you understand that this region’s Stability can only be ensured by the strength of our armed forces, until then there will be no discussion of your investments here, and you will never see the old prices of energy and oil again.”
The spokesperson further stressed that the Iranian military will never compromise in the face of US-Israeli military pressure. He said, “Stability will be maintained through force. We say clearly that no situation will be the same unless we have our will. This will will be achieved only when the thought of any action against the Iranian nation is completely eliminated from your minds. Our stance has been clear from the first day, we will never compromise with someone like you, not now and not ever.”
Earlier, Trump had confirmed that talks with Iran are continuing and the war is about to end. He said, “We are in talks right now. I can tell you that they would like to make a deal and if you were them you would too. Their navy, air force and communications system is almost gone. Everything they had is almost gone. I think we are going to end it. We have won. Our planes are flying over Tehran and other parts of their country and they can’t do anything.”
However, there has been no formal response from Iran to Trump’s recent proposal. Iran also said on Tuesday that peace is not possible unless the US and Israel stop their military actions, and denied reports of any talks with the US.
