Saudi, Turkish, Egyptian ministers will reach Pakistan to discuss Iran tension!

Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, Pakistan has taken the initiative to mediate between Iran and America to achieve reconciliation. Although Pakistan itself is not able to resolve its disputes with Afghanistan, but it has asked for mediation to achieve ceasefire between America and Iran. In this connection, Pakistan will host the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt on March 29-30.

During this meeting in Pakistan of the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt, there will be in-depth talks on many issues including efforts to reduce the ongoing tension in the region amid the US-Israel war on Iran.

In a press release issued on Saturday, the Ministry of External Affairs said that on the invitation of Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelati will visit Islamabad from March 29 to March 30.

The Foreign Ministry said, “During this visit, the Foreign Minister will have in-depth talks on many issues, including efforts to reduce tension in the region. Along with this, ministers from all the countries will also meet Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.”

“Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with brotherly countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt. The visit will provide an opportunity to further strengthen Pakistan’s cooperation and coordination with these countries in many areas of mutual interest,” the Pakistan Foreign Ministry statement said.

Announcing this on social media platform X, Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said that the distinguished leaders will engage in wide-ranging discussions on a wide range of regional and international issues. The meeting will focus on efforts to promote peace and reduce conflict.”

According to Pakistani media outlet Dawn, the talks were initially scheduled to be held in Turkey, however later it was decided to hold the meeting in Islamabad. Pakistan’s role is increasing in the Iran-America dialogue process.

Amidst all this, the Pakistani PM spoke with Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian for an hour. This conversation took place a day before the meeting of foreign ministers of several regional powers including Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
