‘Dhurandhar 2’ created history in 11 days, became the fourth highest grossing film of Indian cinema.

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has come close to creating history with its stormy performance at the box office. This spy-action thriller starring Ranveer Singh has overtaken the lifetime collection of its previous film Dhurandhar in just 11 days and has now become the fourth highest grossing film of Indian cinema.

‘Dhurandhar’, released in December 2025, had a worldwide collection of Rs 1307.35 crore in its entire theatrical run. At the same time, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ had crossed the figure of Rs 1250 crore in just 10 days and by the 11th day the collection is expected to reach around Rs 1340 crore. In this way the film broke the record of its own franchise in a very short time.

The pace of the film has surprised even trade analysts. A film surpassing the lifetime collection of its prequel in less than two weeks is considered a rare feat in Indian box office history. Strong word of mouth, excellent second weekend collections and lack of big films in the market have led to a steady increase in its collections.

With this achievement, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has now reached the fourth position in the list of highest-grossing Indian films. In this list, Dangal (2070 crores) is on the first place, Bahubali 2: The Conclusion (1788 crores) is on the second and Pushpa 2: The Rule (1742 crores) is on the third place.

The performance of the film is not limited to India only, but it has earned tremendous money in foreign countries also. Its collection in India is expected to reach around Rs 1000 crore in 11 days, while it is expected to earn more than Rs 350 crore from the overseas market. Especially in North America, the film performed brilliantly and collected more than $20.80 million in just 10 days, which is a new record.

Looking at the pace at which this film of director Aditya Dhar is progressing, trade experts believe that it can break even bigger records in the coming days. As of now, this performance of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ firmly establishes it among the most successful franchises of Indian cinema.
