‘Dhurandhar 2’ storms the box office; Made the fourth biggest Indian film
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues to set new records at the box office. The Ranveer Singh starrer has surpassed the lifetime collection of its first part ‘Dhurandhar’ in just 11 days of release and has now become the fourth highest-grossing Indian film globally.
The film also performed brilliantly on the second Sunday (Day 11) and collected a net collection of around Rs 68 to 70 crores. The special thing is that even during a big tournament like IPL, there was no significant impact on the film’s earnings.
According to trade reports, the film collected Rs 674.17 crore in the first week. After this, its hold remained strong in the second week also –
- Day 9 (2nd Friday): Rs 41.75 crore
- Day 10 (2nd Saturday): Rs 62.85 crore
- Day 11 (2nd Sunday): Rs 68.10 crore
In this way, the total collection of the film in 11 days has reached Rs 846.87 crore.
The film has already crossed the lifetime collection of its prequel ‘Dhurandhar’ of Rs 840.20 crore. Not only this, it has also overtaken Pushpa 2: The Rule’s collection of Rs 812.14 crore, which shows its tremendous success.
‘Dhurandhar 2’ has created history in the overseas market also. The film crossed the $20.80 million mark within 9 days, breaking the 9-year-old record of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and becoming the highest-grossing Indian film in North America.
Globally, the film has now reached the fourth position with earnings of more than Rs 1360 crore. The list of top 5 Indian films is as follows-
- Dangal – Rs 2070 crore
- Bahubali 2: The Conclusion – Rs 1788 crore
- Pushpa 2: The Rule – Rs 1742 crore
- Dhurandhar 2 (2026) – Rs 1360+ crore
- Dhurandhar (2025) – Rs 1307+ crore
Looking at the current pace of the film, it may soon cross the Rs 900 crore mark and there is every possibility of joining the Rs 1000 crore net club in the coming days. In less than two weeks, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has not only changed the history of the franchise, but has also cemented its place among the biggest global hits of Indian cinema.
