Robbery in broad daylight in Ayodhya: Burkanshi woman points gun at jewelery shop
Ayodhya city of Uttar Pradesh witnessed the incident of robbery by a Burkanshi woman in broad daylight. In Agarwal Complex located in Rudauli police station area, a Burkanshi woman entered a jewelery shop and looted it at gunpoint and escaped with her partner. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the shop, the video of which is now going viral on social media.
The incident is said to have taken place on Thursday (March 2) at around 2 pm. According to the CCTV footage, the woman enters the shop wearing a burqa and starts looking at the jewelery like a normal customer. After some time, she suddenly picks up the jewelery from the counter and threatens the shopkeeper with a gun. After this she runs away from the spot, where one of her associates was already present outside.
According to the police, the accused woman has absconded with about 26 grams of gold jewellery. The price of gold in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday was reported to be around ₹14,684 per gram, based on which the total value of the loot is being estimated at Rs 3,81,700.

During this, the police said that the accused have been identified and they will be arrested soon. Initial investigation has also revealed that the pistol used during the robbery may be fake, although this will be confirmed only after investigation.
After this incident, the discussion regarding law and order in Ayodhya has intensified. Local businessmen and citizens have demanded increased security, so that such incidents can be prevented in future.
