BJP-NDA alliance ready to form government in Kerala on May 4: PM Modi!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Thiruvalla, Kerala on Saturday. PM Modi started his address with Jai Keralam! Jai Vikasita Keralam! With the announcement of. He said that I bow to Lord Thiruvalluvar of Sri Vallabham and pay my respects to Sabarimala and Swami Ayyappa.

Prime Minister Modi said that your trust in NDA and the immense support of the women of Kerala is clearly visible in the entire state. I have been here before also, but this time the circumstances are different and the atmosphere has changed. Kerala is ready for a historic change. After voting on April 9, the BJP-NDA alliance is set to form the government in Kerala on May 4. Kerala will benefit in this election but personally I may suffer some loss.

He said that NDA candidate Anup has worked with me with unwavering dedication for the last five years. He has been a reliable colleague, calm, honest and working tirelessly day and night. I felt that Kerala needed the service and energy of this young leader.

Today I hand over Anoop to you to serve the people of Kerala. Recently during the ‘My Booth, Sabse Strong’ campaign, I had extensive interaction with BJP workers in Kerala. More than 1,25,000 workers from 5,000 Shakti Kendras in Kerala joined and shared their views. One thing was clear, Kerala has made up its mind to oust the LDF government from power.

He said that on my arrival, I saw that there was a huge crowd gathered on the entire route leading to the venue. Leftists talk about human chain but the people of Kerala have shown their love for NDA by forming a human wall. The LDF and UDF governments have neglected the region for a long time. The contact roads are in a dilapidated condition. No new bridge has been built for years and the condition of the medical college is extremely worrying.

He said that this lack of infrastructure makes it clear how seriously your standard of living has been affected. When LDF and UDF were in power at the Centre, Kerala received very little funds. Five times more funds have been allocated to the state during the tenure of the Modi government compared to that period.

The Prime Minister said that in the Northeast, where the Christian population is very high, the NDA has formed governments in 7 states. We have completed the work pending for decades. Even in Goa, where there is a sizeable Christian community, we are continuing our service work and accelerating development. We will form a government in Kerala, improve living standards and address the concerns of fishermen and local communities. Barring one state in the North-East, there is a BJP-NDA government and the work which was not done in the last 50-60 years, we have done there.

He said that there is a continuous BJP-NDA government in Goa and Goa is touching new heights of development. If NDA government is formed in Kerala also, we will reach new heights of development. We will solve every problem of local farmers and fishermen.

He said that the Sabarimala Railway Project will open up new opportunities in the entire region and establish direct connectivity with Sabarimala pilgrims. This will boost local business and create employment opportunities for the youth. However, the state government has continuously created hurdles in the project. These obstacles will be removed once the double engine government of BJP comes to power in Kerala. This is Modi’s assurance. Kerala will develop at a new pace.

He said that the group that will benefit most from NDA’s policies are women. Women empowerment is our priority. We have worked to solve challenges at every stage of their lives. From constructing toilets and opening bank accounts to providing houses in their names and promoting entrepreneurship through Mudra loans, we have strengthened their foundation.

He said that we are also supporting women self-help groups and the Lakhpati Didi program has given great results. We have already created 3 crore Lakhpati Didis and have targeted to create 3 crore more. If BJP government is formed in Kerala, women will benefit the most.
