TMC Leader Hafizul Mollah Arrested For Threatening To Crush Opponents With A Steam Roller After The Elections

TMC leaders and workers are facing allegations of hooliganism in the assembly elections in West Bengal. Acting on inflammatory statements, police have arrested Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Hafizul Mollah. Hafizul Mollah is the head of Deuli Gram Panchayat in South 24 Parganas district.

According to the police, Mollah had publicly threatened his political opponents that he would “run a steam roller” on them after the assembly election results. This statement came to light in a video that went viral on social media, after which the police took action.

In the video, Mollah is seen saying, “I am saying under the open sky… after the election results are out on May 4, I will use a steam roller on them.” It is being told that he had given this statement in Bedmari Bazaar area of ​​Jivantala police station area of ​​South 24 Parganas.

After the case went viral on social media, West Bengal Police started investigation and arrested the accused leader.

Even before this, West Bengal Police had arrested TMC leader Raju Mondal after the video went viral on social media. Raju Mondal was seen threatening voters in Baharampur assembly constituency not to vote in favor of BJP.

Such continuous incidents have made the political situation of the state more tense. Opposition parties have also reacted strongly to the aggressive rhetoric of TMC leaders during the elections and have raised the demand for fair elections.
