Doing this yoga for 20 minutes in the evening will relieve stress and give you better sleep.
The hustle and bustle of the day, work pressure and mental fatigue have become a part of today’s lifestyle. If you take out a few minutes for yourself in the evening, the fatigue of the whole day can be reduced to a great extent. The Ministry of AYUSH also advises to include regular yoga in the daily routine. Evening yoga gradually brings the body into a state of relaxation. This reduces muscle tension, calms the mind and increases the chances of getting good sleep at night. If yoga is done properly even for 15 to 20 minutes daily, its positive results start being felt within a few days.
Balasana- This asana is especially beneficial for those people who work sitting all day or undergo mental stress. In this asana, the body is tilted forward and the head is brought near the ground, which reduces the stiffness of the back and shoulders. Also, deep breathing calms the mind and makes the mind feel light. This asana helps in relaxing the nervous system.
Marjariyasana- This asana helps in making the body flexible. In this, the spine is moved up and down with breathing, which improves blood circulation. This asana reduces the stiffness caused by sitting in the same position throughout the day to a great extent.
Paschimottanasana- This asana stretches the entire body, especially strengthens the spine and the back of the legs. It is done slowly and keeping attention on breathing. This process reduces stress in the body and also controls the worries going on in the mind. According to the Ministry of AYUSH, this asana is also helpful in improving digestion.
Viparita Karani- In this asana, balance of the body is created by raising the legs. This asana rapidly reduces the fatigue that occurs in the legs after standing or walking for a long time. Additionally, it helps balance blood circulation and calm the mind. It is considered especially beneficial for people suffering from insomnia.
