Swarasamragni Asha Bhosle’s last farewell today at the Hindu cremation ground in Dadar.
The mortal remains of Swarsamragni Asha Bhosle will be cremated today, Monday (April 13) at 4 pm at the Hindu cremation ground in Dadar West. On this occasion, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Mumbai Police have made special arrangements to handle the large crowd. To ensure that people coming for the last darshan do not face any inconvenience, preparations have been made to create separate routes, and there is a possibility of having separate entry routes for common citizens and VIPs. Assistant Commissioner of G-North Department, Vinayak Vispute gave official information about the last rites.
BMC officials said that keeping in mind the experience of management done earlier during the funerals of Lata Mangeshkar and Ratan Tata, similar effective preparations have been made this time too. Coordination is being done with the police administration to maintain law and order. Meanwhile, a large number of people reached his residence in Lower Parel and paid homage when his mortal remains were laid to rest on Sunday evening. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire area and emotional reactions are coming out from the fans.
Traffic management will be like this:
- There will be traffic restrictions on Swatantryaveer Savarkar Marg.
- Traffic will be controlled on Lady Jamshedji Marg
- Arrangement of alternative routes by traffic and police department
- Parking facility available in Kohinoor Plaza
- Ban on street parking; Limited discount to local residents
Keeping in view the possibility of a large number of people arriving, the administration has made all the arrangements and efforts are on to maintain smooth functioning of civil services in the area.
