Transgenders Opened Fire At A Wedding Ceremony After The Groom’s Brother Was Not Given Neg Neg Seriously Injuring Him 6 Accused Arrested

A dispute over ‘Neg’ (traditional gift) during a wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district turned violent. The groom’s brother was seriously injured in the incident, while the police have arrested six accused. The incident took place in Hussainpur village of Badaun, which is located in Kunwargaon police station area of ​​Badaun district. According to the information, the wedding procession of Prem Singh’s daughter had arrived on Wednesday (22 April) night and the wedding rituals were about to begin in the early hours of Thursday (23 April), when this dispute took place.

According to the police, the group of eunuchs reached the venue in a Bolero vehicle and demanded ₹21,000 as ransom. However, the girl’s side offered to pay ₹2,100, which triggered a dispute which soon escalated into violence.

It is alleged that during the dispute, the accused created ruckus, behaved indecently and also fired from illegal weapons, due to which there was chaos on the spot. Meanwhile, the groom’s brother Gaurav was attacked with sticks, due to which he was seriously injured. There are also reports of other people being injured in the incident.

As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and controlled the situation. The police took action and arrested six accused. During the search, two illegal pistols, live cartridges, sticks, scissors and the Bolero vehicle used in the incident were recovered.

In this case, police officer Rajneesh Kumar Upadhyay said that the fight took place over Neg’s money. He said that an FIR has been registered against the accused under serious sections and all have been produced in the court.

The injured have been immediately admitted to the hospital, where their treatment is ongoing. Police say that the matter is being thoroughly investigated and further legal action will be taken keeping all the aspects in mind.

This incident has once again raised questions about increasing violence and use of illegal weapons in social gatherings.
